"The days of deploying WiFi in places such as hallways and utility closets and then expecting a guest to connect to that device with their handheld WiFi enabled device are long gone"
Melville, NY (PRWEB) May 14, 2015
Eclipse WiFi, a Melville NY company, with the new release of their EW28650, is changing the way hospitality WiFi is deployed in the hotel industry and in doing so are eliminating guest complaints regarding poor WiFi coverage. The product, when installed, will also reduce the overall bandwidth requirements and monthly costs for Hoteliers.
"With the release this week of our latest version of the EW28650 AP (Access Point), the days of locating wireless hotspots in places such as hallways, lobby's, and utility closets and then expecting a guest to connect to that device with their handheld Wi-Fi enabled device are long gone," said Don Davis, President of Eclipse WiFi. "The weak link in a wireless network are actually the client devices that guests carry with them. The only way to provide better wireless coverage is to install a wireless access point closer to those devices. The EW28650 in wall wireless AP is now 300Mbps verse the original version that was only 150Mbps and installs where the data and phone jack are in the guest room and actually replaces the data and phone jack using the existing CAT5 or 6 cabling."
The new EW28650 AP is powered through a CAT5 or CAT6 cable so if you have CAT cable in place already there is no need to re-wire the guest rooms and since the device has both a data and phone jack you do not loose that feature making it a very easy clean upgrade for many properties. The new EW28650 AP now supports both analog and IP telephone connections where the original version only supported analog telephone connections.
The earlier version of the EW28650 device is already installed in over eleven thousand guest rooms and has become the new standard for deploying Wi-Fi in several three, four, and five star properties." Davis added " The world is quickly moving to IP (Internet Protocol) and everything from the TV to the thermostat and MiniBar in the guest room will need a wired or wireless connection to the internet. The new Eclipse WiFi In Wall AP brings both to the guest room and the guest experience."
The new EW28650 is now shipping and is available through distribution.
