Tagkast Updates Platform to Integrate with New Facebook Privacy Settings
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 12, 2015 -- Social event marketing platform Tagkast announced today its updated integration with Facebook Graph API 2.2, which gives Facebook users more control over how their information is shared.
Facebook made this change with an eye toward consumer privacy and ease of access for trusted third-party apps such as Tagkast. With this updated version, users can select which information is shared with brands when logging in to Facebook through Tagkast, leading to higher log-in rates and share rates for Tagkast clients.
“By giving users more control over their information, Facebook is signaling to third-party apps that the end user experience comes first,” said Joe Matthews, CEO and co-founder of Tagkast. “Users should feel comfortable sharing as much or as little information with third-party apps as they want.”
For Tagkast clients, the biggest improvement in the new API integration is a modified login screen, which gives consumers more personal control of the information that is shared. Tagkast also simplified the user experience and increased brand saturation, which places customizable branding on every screen in which the consumer interacts.
The updated Tagkast platform has been designed specifically for Graph API v2.2 and is guaranteed to work within Facebook’s new privacy settings and permissions through 2016. As Facebook updates its policies further, Tagkast will continue to prioritize development compliance with those changes.
“As a company that specializes in branded photo marketing and social sharing, it was important for Tagkast to modify our app to work with this new feature and create a better end user experience,” Matthews said. “When consumers log in with our app, we want them to feel safe and comfortable while doing so. The user experience is a priority for our clients and us.”
