Email Data API Provider Context.IO Offers $125k in App Development Competition
New York, New York (PRWEB) May 12, 2015 -- Context.IO, an API provider for email data, today launched the Context.IO App Challenge (http://contextio.challengepost.com), an online hackathon contest for developers to build innovative consumer applications that leverage the API.
The international competition will be judged by a panel of high-profile venture capital executives and will award a total of $125,000 in cash prizes to the winners. Prize categories include:

- Second Runner Up - $15,000

All entries will be evaluated by well known venture capitalists and industry executives including Fred Wilson, Managing Partner of Union Square Ventures; Brad Feld, Managing Director of Mobius Venture Capital and Foundry Group; David Cohen, Founder and Managing Director of TechStars; and Matt Blumberg, author of Startup CEO and Co-Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Return Path.
The judges will be looking for polished, market-ready apps that are creative, well-executed and solve a specific problem or pain point for users.
Context.IO has experienced a growing developer base since their launch in early 2011, with daily API calls now ranging from 1 million to 1.5 million calls per day. Unlike email APIs that focus on email sending, Context.IO enables developers to easily build applications on top of their users’ email data.
Email is one of the most prevalent, steadfast and foundational tools in use today.
