The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, announced today that the company has been awarded two 2014 Horizon Interactive Gold Awards for its “Global Data Privacy: Protecting Personal Information” and “Respect and Inclusion: Valuing Our Differences” courses, as well as a Silver Award for a Spot on Ethics vignette, “Trade Compliance: Export Controls.”

The Horizon Interactive Gold Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of interactive and creative media production, was presented to The Network in the “Training & e-Learning” category from among 1,200 entries. This marks the second and third Gold Awards received by The Network for Training and e-Learning since the company won the 2013 Horizon Interactive Gold Award for its course “Anti-Bribery: Doing Business Fairly.”

The Network‘s courses “Global Data Privacy: Protecting Personal Information” and “Respect and Inclusion: Valuing Our Differences” earned Gold Awards. The data privacy course teaches employees about the importance of safe-guarding company data and personal information, and gives best practice tips for protecting information in the office, on the road and around the world. The course on respect and inclusion explores nuances related to cultural, social and gender stereotypes, and uses contextual scenarios and short stories to help employees learn the importance of treating others with dignity, respect and compassion.

The Horizon Interactive Silver Award recognized The Network’s Spot on Ethics vignette, “Trade Compliance: Export Controls,” which helps employees understand the critical nature of export laws, how violation of export laws can impact their company and how to prevent violations.

The Horizon Interactive Awards, now in its 13th season, is an international competition for recognizing, promoting and awarding the best web sites, videos, online advertising, print media and mobile applications.
