Bertha Ordaz- Avilés, a shareholder at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was recently recognized in Global Investigation Review’s (GIR) “Women in Investigations 2015” report. Ordaz-Avilés is one of 100 women from around the world recognized by GIR for their achievements in investigations and FCPA matters.
Global Investigation Review held an open nomination process and its editorial team selected the final 100 women. As part of their nomination process, each attorney was interviewed by the editorial team to discuss their experience in investigations and FCPA matters they were working on in their respective jurisdictions.

She is experienced in planning, negotiating, and implementing a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and financial restructuring, satellite procurement, and contracts. In addition, she has participated in global compliance projects with Greenberg Traurig’s Global Compliance team and also has experience representing foreign companies in projects concerning regulatory aspects of broadcasting services and pay TV services.
