Cambridge Security Seals “Stronger Than Ever” After Overcoming TydenBrooks’s Legal Challenges
Pomona, NY (PRWEB) May 13, 2015 -- Cambridge Security Seals (“CSS”) has emerged “stronger than ever” following a trial of claims brought by TydenBrooks. TydenBrooks, a private-equity fueled consolidation of five of North America’s largest security seals manufacturers, filed suit against CSS in 2012 alleging, among other things, violations of federal and New York statutes, a host of common law claims, and seeking a permanent injunction against CSS. (TydenBrooks v. Cambridge Security Seals et al., S.D.N.Y., C.A. No. 12 Civ. 2937.) Before trial, the Court dismissed with prejudice all of TydenBrooks’s statutory claims. CSS, which ultimately prevailed on six of the nine claims asserted in the complaint, has grown by 1000% since the suit was filed, and continues to thrive as one of the fastest growing security seals manufacturers in the world.
“CSS was developed to provide exceptional service to the seals market with excellent products and customer service,” said Elisha Tropper, CEO of CSS. “The overall outcome of the proceedings has positioned us stronger than ever, and ensures that CSS will continue to offer competitive solutions to the security seals marketplace.”
According to court documents, CSS filed a counterclaim against TydenBrooks alleging violations of the Sherman Act. TydenBrooks had sought an injunction to prevent CSS from selling plastic indicative security seals, but the federal court denied that request.
“CSS has always been focused on offering security seals users a high-value alternative,” pointed out Tropper. “CSS manufactures high quality products, with quick lead times, and outstanding customer service to provide more options to security seals customers in North America.”
CSS views its continued growth and impact in the marketplace as its most important measure of success. Although the jury did not throw out all of TydenBrooks’s claims, Tropper says, “CSS is considering all of its options with respect to post-trial motions and appeals.”
“In the long term, the marketplace is the ultimate arbiter. Customers seek high quality seals, short lead times, and the overall best value,” explains Tropper. “On that basis, CSS expects to continue its rapid growth and success.”
