Kabbage and Sage Payment Solutions Form Innovative Partnership

This partnership with Kabbage allows Sage to provide small businesses with much-needed financing.

Kabbage Inc., the leading online provider of small business loans, is broadening its lending footprint through a partnership with Sage Payment Solutions, a full-service payments provider serving the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. This new collaboration, Sage Small Business Loan powered by Kabbage, represents the first use of a third-party technology platform to deliver a fully branded lending product to small business customers.

Kabbage is the only company in financial services with a fully scalable technology and data platform that can be leveraged by any partner, in any sector, and any geography to power their lending needs. The Sage implementation demonstrates Kabbage’s ability to extend its technology beyond financial services and into the payments vertical for a large global brand.

“We were very deliberate in crafting a platform offering that is easily and rapidly implemented by our partners,” said Jason Dell, head of product for Kabbage. “Sage is our first partner because we believe their large customer base of small and midsized businesses is well suited to quickly benefit from our fully automated lending solution and obtain the capital they need to grow.”

Kabbage partners enjoy the benefits of rapid implementation and rollout, a fast and frictionless user experience, and continuous, automated underwriting to manage customers throughout the lifecycle. Sage Payment Solutions, a division of Sage North America, allows merchants to accept multiple forms of payment, including credit and debit cards, electronic checks, Check21, gift and loyalty cards, and automatic recurring payment, and provides a wide range of secure standalone and integrated payment solutions, such as Sage Small Business Loan powered by Kabbage.

“Sage is focused on providing small businesses with the software, services, and resources they need to grow and thrive,” said Paul Bridgewater, CEO of Sage Payment Solutions. “This partnership with Kabbage allows Sage to provide small businesses with much-needed financing.”
