The study, titled Optimizing Marketing Fulfillment in a Digital World, surveyed enterprise-size firms across six industries in regulated (banking, insurance, and pharmaceutical) and non-regulated industries (manufacturing, retail, and consumer packaged goods) to uncover key trends, top challenges, and strategic opportunities. Survey data was collected in March, and respondents owned, influenced, or were responsible for print and fulfillment services budgets within their organizations.

According to Lisa Cross, InfoTrends’ associate director of business development strategies and lead project analyst for the study, “Large enterprises face a growing list of challenges in managing the production and distribution of customer communications. The study was conducted in March through a mix of a Web-based surveys and telephone interviews; 300 respondents, 50 per industry, participated in the study.
Screening criteria for survey participation included:

  • Companies with 500+ employees
  • Respondent is responsible for, influences, or owns the budget for print and fulfillment services
  • Potential job titles include director of marketing, manager of marketing communications, communication specialist, and print and fulfillment manager
