BluePrint Healthcare IT's Award-Winning Care Coordination and Patient Engagement Platform Launches Important New Features Impacting Value- and Team-Based Care Delivery
Cranbury, NJ (PRWEB) May 13, 2015 -- As part of the company’s award-winning care coordination and patient engagement platform, Care Navigator™, BluePrint Healthcare IT today announced five new features, and significant core functionality updates to its flagship product. These enhancements will deliver new capabilities and value to help healthcare organizations transform how they collaborate, communicate and coordinate care via team- and value-based care models.
Care Navigator™ Mobile App, Desktop Ribbon and Microsoft Dynamics Hub updates are available to customers now. New features include:
Document Management: Care Navigator™ Dynamics Hub users have the ability to upload and view PDF documents, as well as share viewing of PDF documents with all Mobile App users. Documents could include Continuity of Care (CCD), discharge summaries, advanced directives and lab/imaging results. Care team members will be able to search documents by name or document type across all Apps, including the Desktop Ribbon.
Shared Care Plan Tasks & Appointment Calendar: Care coordination tasks and appointments have been streamlined and updated, allowing for better ‘shared care’ across the entire care team. Care team members can now update and complete tasks from the Mobile App and Desktop Ribbon. This enhancement allows for easier reporting on completion of important care plan tasks and activities. Tasks and appointments in Care Navigator™ are now consistent with Microsoft Outlook for improved integration.
Care Team Management: Users are now able to add new care team members from the Mobile App and Desktop Ribbon. This new feature provides flexibility for any care team member to grow the team and make it more inclusive. For example, a patient can add a daughter or neighbor who assists in their transportation or activities of daily living, and authorize that person for access to their care plan through the Care Navigator™ Mobile App.
These product updates underscore why Microsoft awarded Care Navigator™ its 2015 Health Innovation Award in the Patient Engagement category during the recent HIMSS15 conference in Chicago, IL. “This product release delivers significant value to customers through features that drive better value- and team-based care for the most vulnerable and costly patients. By revolutionizing care coordination, communication across the entire care team, and collaboration with patients and their family caregivers, Care Navigator™ is improving the efficiency and effectiveness of care delivery,” stated Vikas Khosla, President and CEO of BluePrint Healthcare IT.
Michael Robinson, Vice President, Health & Life Science at Microsoft commented, "As the winner of this year's award within the Patient Engagement category, BluePrint Healthcare IT and their Care Navigator™ platform represents breakthrough innovation, having a practical impact on the care and coordination of medically complex patients."
“As healthcare organizations require better technology to coordinate care and collaborate, both, inside and outside their four walls, Care Navigator™ delivers a comprehensive platform – from desktop, to laptop, to mobile – that engages the complete care team from any location. This latest release puts even more power into the hands of the entire care team,” stated Mohit Pasricha, Chief Solutions Architect of BluePrint Healthcare IT.
The market appears to have taken notice. Not only has Microsoft bestowed their 2015 Health Innovation Award on Care Navigator™, but BluePrint Healthcare IT currently has four Care Navigator™ customers that are addressing very different and high-value challenges. These customers include the largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital in the nation, a nationally-ranked Midwest academic healthcare system, a national Medicaid health plan, and the largest IPA/ACO in North Texas.
