James Insurance Agency Initiates New Charity Campaign in Mississippi to Support the Mississippi Children’s Museum
Jackson, MS (PRWEB) May 13, 2015 -- Jackson, MS – The Mississippi Children’s Museum works with 300 other children’s museums around the country to address the urgent need of children to find ways to engage in active play that unleashes their curiosity and allows them to explore and discover. The James Insurance Agency is raising awareness and funds to support this remarkable organization’s efforts that are bettering lives in the community.
The organization recognizes that Mississippi has disparities in health, literacy and education rates. Mississippi scored the lowest on the National Assessment of Educational Progress Math Assessment in 2001. Of Mississippi’s fourth graders in 2011, 75% scored below proficient in math, 78% scored below proficient in reading, and in 2009 83% of fourth graders were below proficient in science. Mississippi is continually rated as one of the most obese states in the nation.
The Mississippi Children’s Museum is seeking out opportunities for children and families to be the masters of their future. Their mission is to inspire Mississippi’s children from all backgrounds to discover and achieve their potential. They are invested in the state’s greatest resource, its children. The agency announced that anyone with the heart to support the organization’s efforts can donate through the fundraising page that can be accessed here: http://www.thejamesinsurance.com/Guiding-Kids-Into-a-Road-of-Discovery_17_community_cause.
“We share the Mississippi’s Children Museum mission and we are committed to help them raise funds to continue improving the health and well being of Mississippi children. We want to guide the kids in our community into a road of discovery and help them find their passion and reach their potential,” said Steven James, the principal at the James Insurance Agency.
The agency will donate $10 to the cause for each person recommended to the agency for a quote – no purchase necessary. Anyone willing to help this campaign can recommend someone they know might need a new insurance evaluation for their auto, home, life, and more.
With agencies in Mississippi, the James Insurance Agency is employing its social media channels, email and text message communications in the campaign, and dedicating a full page of their monthly magazine to the cause. The electronic version of Our Hometown magazine can be viewed here: http://www.thejamesinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_42.
Operating as agents of change in the community, the agency will continue to work with organizations like the Mississippi Children’s Museum.
