Susan Winslow named Managing Director of Macmillan Higher Education
New York (PRWEB) May 13, 2015 -- The higher education division of Macmillan Education today announced the appointment of Susan Winslow as Managing Director. Ms. Winslow will lead higher education focusing on the editorial, marketing, digital product and content management teams for the group. She will report to Ken Michaels, CEO for Macmillan Higher Education and Macmillan New Ventures.
Commenting on her appointment, CEO Ken Michaels said, “Susan has a clear understanding of our customer needs and in the evolving nature of publishing. She is an innovative publisher consistently focused on learning outcomes and teacher development, informed by her experience in prior roles in multiple disciplines, geographies, and businesses. Ms. Winslow brings more than 22 years of publishing experiences to this role. Currently serving as Vice President of Marketing, she directs the creative, promotional and digital strategies for the higher education group. Previously, Ms. Winslow served as Publisher of the Life Sciences group where she was responsible for the content and digital publishing strategy governing life science materials at Macmillan, including teaching and learning resources for higher education and professional development for teachers and researchers. She oversaw the development of market-defining products that pioneered integration of print, media and assessments aligning together seamlessly to achieve a set of desired outcomes for students. Prior to joining Macmillan, Ms. Winslow held senior positions at Pearson in Sciences and Global Marketing.
