Opus 59 Launches Annual Medical Group Managers Marketing Survey

Firm to qualify current challenges facing healthcare practices in the midst of change.

Opus 59 Creative Group has kicked off its annual Medical Group Managers Marketing Survey (http://www.opus59.com/survey/).

The Charlotte-based marketing group has developed an anonymous survey to gauge the impact of recent changes in healthcare on marketing plans and tactics for the coming 12 months. Opus 59 plans to report a clear “state of the union” addressing current challenges, planned practice growth and marketing intentions.

“Healthcare practices, especially those that intend to remain independent of larger groups such as hospital systems, face enormous challenges while simultaneously trying to stay top-of-mind for patients and referring physician practices,” said Derick Wells, partner. “Through our work with many of these practices, we’ve noticed particular trends that we’d like to qualify with a formal, wide-ranging survey.”

Conversion to electronic medical records, compliance with aspects of the Affordable Care Act including Meaningful Use requirements have affected the business of healthcare and impact marketing strategy and tactics for these groups. Through this survey, Opus 59 hopes to benchmark shifts in the business of healthcare as well as project changes in marketing strategy and tactical emphasis.

“These recent regulatory and operational challenges to the business of healthcare are affecting how these groups must market themselves. Independent healthcare practices must continue to instill trust in their patients and the physicians who refer patients while adapting to this changing environment,” added Wells.
