2015 Stevie Awards® Names Tanis Communications Finalist in Communications Team of the Year Category
Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) May 13, 2015 -- Tanis Communications, Inc., an award-winning marketing and PR agency, has been named a finalist in The 2015 American Business Awards in the Communications Team of the Year category. Tanis was recognized for its highly successful U.S. launch campaign for its client mCube, a provider of the world’s smallest MEMS motion sensors.
mCube had been quietly growing its market share in a small segment of the MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) market – having already shipped 60 million units (up to 100Mu recently) into China’s low-end handset market. But their products had applicability for nearly every type of mobile and wearable electronic device – from fitness gadgets to tablets. So they needed to “re-launch” the company and its products into the US market with a big bang to capture this massive opportunity.

So it was critical to create the right brand strategy and messaging that would effectively communicate the company’s story and unique value within a very crowded market that had large, entrenched rivals. As part of the re-launch, Tanis developed a new brand strategy, including a simple, yet impactful phrase, “Enabling the Internet of Moving Things,” that was used in press coverage and formed the foundation of mCube’s marketing efforts. The agency also delivered:
• Compelling Messaging and Positioning – Developed brand positioning and messaging to expand mCube’s market opportunity and generate excitement for its solutions
• Public Relations – Planned and executed a major company re-launch including media and influencer relations, news announcements, social media, contributed content, speaking opportunities and awards
• Website Redesign – Developed a new website to communicate newly refined messaging and creatively bring the mCube story to life
• Collateral Pieces – Designed branded templates and designed, wrote and produced collateral to support up-leveled messaging. Deliverables included a company fact sheet, product briefs, and technology and market/vision white papers.
The resulting coverage and social media traction helped mCube clinch numerous awards and accolades from key industry organizations and generated many new business opportunities for its sensors.

Considered the nation’s preeminent business awards program, The American Business Awards received more than 3,300 nominations this year from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and Human Resources Department of the Year, among others.
Finalists were chosen by scores of business professionals nationwide during first-round judging in April and May. Members of several specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place later this month.
