Power Up Box Launches Its Geek Monthly Subscription Box Service

The subscription boxes are catered to comic and video game enthusiasts and feature geek novelty items from Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars, and Nintendo. The idea behind the geek subscription box service came from Northeastern University alumnus Firas Khalil. Khalil wanted to start his own business and having been a fan of DC's Batman, Marvel's Avengers and other superhereos, the decision to found Power Up Box came naturally to him. He called upon his friend and fellow alumnus, Peter Kowalkowski, to join him in his business venture. The two reached out to big names like Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars and Nintendo to feature their merchandise in their monthly subscription boxes.
Subscribers have two options to choose from. The first option is a $20 monthly box which contains four to six novelty items. The second option is $30 and contains six to nine novelty gifts. Each box features top quality items which retail for upwards of $70. Power Up Box offers discounts to those who subscribe to a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month option. Those who sign up for the 12-month subscription box also receive a bonus item.
"I've always been a huge fan of Marvel and DC superheroes, so when I decided to start my own business the monthly subscription box service catered to comic and video game enthusiasts like myself seemed like the perfect fit," said Firas Khalil, founder and president of Power Up Box.
