Best Practices to Protect & Strengthen Your Competitive Advantage,” from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the offices of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio), Cambridge, MA.

Pastore moderated a panel discussion on how pharma and biotech companies can protect their trade secrets by creating and implementing a defensible, proprietary information protection plan. Among the topics addressed were:

  • The role of trade secrets in protecting small molecules and biologics, and other scientific and technological innovations from competitors;
  • The importance of trade secrets for start-up biotech companies v. mid-size companies v. large companies;
  • Evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of your company’s existing trade secret policies;
  • Best practices to protect trade secrets;
  • Case studies from our industry panel; and
  • The role of trade secrets in deal negotiations.
