El Paso's Bassett Place to Add Entertainment Complex - Dave & Buster's
EL PASO, Texas (PRWEB) May 14, 2015 -- Cypress Equities announced today that it has assembled exciting new additions and upgrades to Bassett Place, El Paso’s most established shopping center, by renovating the mall’s food court and incorporating the area’s first Dave & Buster’s into the current merchant roster.
“Following significant speculation throughout the trade area, Cypress may now confirm that Dave & Buster’s is coming to Bassett Place,” stated Michael Wheat, managing director of leasing and marketing for Cypress Equities.
Dave & Buster's is the leading owner and operator of high-volume venues that combine entertainment and dining in North America for both adults and families. Founded in 1982, the core of the concept is to offer guests the opportunity to “Eat, Drink, Play, Watch®” all in one location. Dave & Buster’s offers a full menu of "Fun American New Gourmet" entrées and appetizers, a full selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and an extensive assortment of entertainment attractions centered on playing games and watching live sports and other televised events.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Dave & Buster’s to Bassett Place,” said Chris Maguire, chief executive officer of Cypress Equities. “The retailer has a strong, distinctive brand with broad customer appeal. Plus, the company has a proven store model and a well-developed new store growth strategy to drive long-term success.”
Dave & Buster’s anticipates the opening of the new El Paso location at Bassett Place in late 2015.
To make way for the nearly 36,000-square-foot entertainment destination, Bassett Place’s Café Plaza Food Court will be redeveloped into a smaller six-unit facility. The existing food court will be closed for the remainder of 2015, with new eateries slated to open during the first quarter of 2016. Among the dining options, Bassett Place shoppers will have the opportunity to enjoy such traditional fare as sandwiches and salads at Subway, pizza and calzone at Sbarro the Italian Eatery, plus an assortment of Asian cuisine at Chinese Gourmet Express and Sansei, a Japanese counterpart to Chinese Gourmet Express. Other eateries joining the food court will be announced at a later date.
