Pacifica Graduate Institute in Association with Paul Orfalea and Mark Juergensmeyer Announces the Global Awareness and Engaged Action Intensive – June 21 Through June 26
Santa Barbara, California (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- Pacifica Graduate Institute, in association with Paul Orfalea and Mark Juergensmeyer, will present the Global Awareness & Engaged Action Intensive on June 21-26 at Pacifica’s Ladera Lane Campus. “We are delighted to present this exceptional academic opportunity, in association with Paul Orfalea and Mark Juergensmeyer,” stated Stephen Aizenstat, Chancellor of Pacifica. “Paul Orfalea and Mark Juergensmeyer will teach the Intensive with a focus on the exploration and active engagement of real-world contemporary events, trends, and conflicts examined from in-depth, experiential perspectives. It will be an educational experience that meets the critical needs of our planet.”
Confronting the enormity of opportunities and challenges facing our world, participants will discover creative new ways to address critical global issues through a confluence of highly developed problem-solving skills and a focus on intuitive critical analysis. Participants will engage deeply with the world’s complex challenges and examine global issues from economic, social, and business perspectives—while building intuitive analytical capabilities and advanced skills that will enable them to make lasting contributions to the world.
During morning sessions, participants will actively engage in the practice of intuitive critical analysis through case studies. Intuitive critical analysis is a non-traditional, creative analytic process that yields unanticipated and valuable insights. Afternoon sessions will extend outside Pacifica’s boardroom into the natural landscape of the ocean, mountains, and countryside for experiential activities that support and expand on the Intensive’s coursework.
