New York, NY (PRWEB) May 21, 2015
Next Capital Management, an independent, SEC Registered Investment Adviser dedicated to serving the investment and financial needs of high-net- worth individuals and families in the U.S. and abroad, has hired Ryan Davis, CAIA, as Director of Research, expanding the firm’s capabilities in investment strategy, research, and due diligence.
Davis comes to Next Capital from Fortigent, an institutional provider of research catering to the high-end investment advisory community. As a senior analyst at Fortigent, he was responsible for the research, selection, and implementation of hedge fund and other non-traditional investment solutions, as well as more traditional asset-class research responsibilities. He also spearheaded the firm's asset allocation research and helped manage multi-asset class and dedicated alternative investment portfolios. Davis is a frequent speaker on investment topics and his research has been featured in major industry journals and news sites.
Ryan began his career as an economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics. He graduated from the George Washington University with a B.S. in Economics, holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and is a Level III candidate in the CFA® program.
“Historic changes in the global financial markets over the past several years have left the investment environment forever changed and in unchartered waters,” said Andrew Hart, CEO of Next Capital. “The more traditional approaches for managing client assets will be less effective as we navigate this rapidly changing environment. Success will demand a more innovative and forward-looking approach. We’re honored to have Ryan join Next Capital and look forward to benefiting from his extensive knowledge and expertise to help us add value for our clients.”
