CH·IV International Secures Owner’s Engineer Contract for Magnolia LNG
Hanover, MD (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- CH·IV International (CH·IV) announces today that they have been selected to fulfill the roll of Owner’s Engineer for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase of the Magnolia LNG Project in Lake Charles, Louisiana, US.
CH·IV will draw heavily on their parent company’s, Clough Limited (Clough), global engineering resources. The 18 month contract will see CH·IV, supported by Clough, provide technical and project execution support personnel to Magnolia, overseeing engineering, procurement, construction contractor KSJV (KBR – SKE&C Joint Venture), as the project moves through detailed design, construction, commissioning and start-up.
Magnolia LNG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (LNGL), is developing the 8 million tonne per annum (mtpa) mid-scale LNG facility using its highly efficient and patented Optimized Single Mixed Refrigerant (OSMR®) LNG process technology. The first of the four planned, 2 mtpa trains plans first LNG export in 4th Quarter 2018.

Work on the contract will commence immediately and will continue through construction, commissioning and start-up in 2018.

The Magnolia LNG Project is 100% owned by Magnolia LNG LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Liquefied Natural Gas Limited. The project comprises the proposed development of an 8 mtpa LNG project on a 115 acre site, located on an established LNG shipping channel in the Lake Charles District, State of Louisiana, United States of America.
