In 80% of boating fatalities the operator has not taken a boating safety course. Imagine the difference 2,500 additional educated boaters will make to the safety of our waters this summer.

Leading online boating safety educator BOATERexam.com has set a goal of helping 2,500 new boaters earn their boating safety certification during National Safe Boating Week, which runs from May 16-22, 2015.
Every year National Safe Boating Week provides an opportunity for Americans to review safe boating practices in advance of the busy summer boating season. The week focuses on increasing awareness about safe boating practices like always wearing a lifejacket, knowing the weather forecast, not boating under the influence, and taking a boating safety course.
“National Safe Boating Week provides a great opportunity to get the message out about the role of education in creating safe boat operators,” said Kerry Moher, Vice President of BOATERexam.com. “In 80% of boating fatalities the operator has not taken a boating safety course. Imagine the difference 2,500 additional educated boaters will make to the safety of our waters this summer.”
To encourage boaters to register and complete their course during National Safe Boating Week, BOATERexam.com is reducing the cost of its online boating safety course by $5 between May 16-22, 2015.
BOATERexam.com is approved in 43 states as a way boaters can meet mandatory education requirements. The course takes about 3 hours to complete and students can stop and start at any time.
