FinTech Sandbox Makes AlphaPack Sixth Startup in the Program
Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- FinTech Sandbox, a nonprofit offering FinTech startups around the world free access to data, infrastructure, and community, announced today that AlphaPack has been admitted to the program. AlphaPack is the sixth and youngest FinTech startup accepted, joining Volos, Prophis Technologies, Kensho, Elsen, and Quantopian.
FinTech Sandbox was founded by entrepreneurs and investors who understand that the high cost of data and its inaccessibility to early-stage companies is holding back innovation. So, FinTech Sandbox brought together some of the world’s leading data and infrastructure providers to solve these problems.
AlphaPack co-founders Ravi Balasubramanian and Skye Isard were colleagues at Harvard Management Company. They started AlphaPack so friends and family could apply professional-grade analysis to investment allocation decisions. They’ve since realized that many other investors are looking for data-driven portfolio construction beyond the capabilities of first-wave robo advisors.
AlphaPack will help self-directed investors do the following:
