The Network Wins 2015 Gold Quill Excellence Award for Big Heart Pet Brands Code of Conduct
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- The Network, a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, announced today that the company has been given the 2015 Gold Quill Excellence Award for the Code of Conduct it created for a client, Big Heart Pet Brands.
The Gold Quill Awards program recognizes business communication excellence globally and is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. The Network’s team of writers collaborated to create a Code of Conduct that would authentically express Big Heart Pet Brands’ values of integrity, courage and action. The Code focuses on ethical decision-making, respect in the workplace, conducting fair business and upholding company values in the day to day operations of the business.
This marks the second Gold Quill received by The Network. The company previously earned a Gold Quill and a Silver Quill, for Codes of Conduct created for two different Fortune 500 companies.
“We are incredibly proud of our work with Big Heart Pet Brands and this award showcases our team’s collaborative, innovative approach to producing Codes that are not only engaging for employees and stakeholders, but also function as brand marketing pieces,” Luis Ramos, CEO at The Network, said. “We all know that a Code is one of the most important documents a company creates. For it to be successful, it must express the company’s commitment to ethical business practices, educate and inspire employees and serve as the foundation for a values-based culture that sets up the organization for success.”
Gold Quill submissions are evaluated based on IABC’s global seven-point scale of excellence for strategic planning and execution. The feedback from this year’s evaluators indicated that the standard of work in this year’s awards was some of the best seen in recent years.
“Gold Quill sets out to recognize communication that meets a business need – either solving a problem, working through an issue, or maximizing an opportunity,” Priya Bates, 2015 International Gold Quill Chair, said. “It’s not just about attractive execution, we look for the strategic impact.”
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) enables communicators working in diverse industries and disciplines to identify, share, and apply the world’s best communication practices. The awards will be presented at the Excellence Awards Gala, to be held on Monday, June 15, as part of the World Conference in San Francisco.
