Peak Hosting Deploys Two New Data Centers in Industry-Leading Turnaround Time, Meeting Customer Needs for Geographic Disbursement, Shortened Time-to-Market

New Performance Optimized Data Suites leverage Digital Realty’s data centers in Richardson, Texas and Santa Clara, California

Peak Hosting, the leading provider of Operations-as-a-Service™ (OaaS) managed hosting, today announced that it has expanded its geographical presence with the simultaneous launch of two new Performance Optimized Data Suites (PODS) that it deployed in under 60 days, up to 25 percent faster than the industry average. The addition of these two new sites, which are located in Richardson, Texas and Santa Clara, California, brings the number of Peak Hosting’s total sites in the U.S. to five, with an additional location in Europe. The Texas and California facilities are owned by Digital Realty, a leading global provider of data center and colocation solutions.

“The industry average time to deploy a new data center suite is in the realm of four months,” said Jeffrey Papen, founder and CEO, Peak Hosting. “Our team blew that timeframe out of the water due to its experience and focus, and as a result met a new customer’s requirement for geographically dispersed infrastructure in specific cities on a very short timeline. It’s not that other hosting companies can’t deploy this quickly; it’s that they won’t.”

Peak Hosting’s latest PODS offer 1.125-Megawatt full 2N environments, state of the art rack infrastructure design and density, as well as management and monitoring capabilities. In Richardson, Texas, the initial deployment phase included 800 servers along with all associated infrastructure built, installed and turned over for customer production in 15 days. A month later, a second deployment phase added an additional 400 servers that averaged 100 seconds per unit in total build time from the loading dock to OS load. Today, the Richardson facility hosts more than 3,000 servers and is still growing at a fast pace. The initial deployment in Santa Clara consisted of 700 servers and associated infrastructure and took only 10 days from the loading docs to OS load. Peak Hosting’s proven ability to deliver turnkey customized solutions for its customers with such speed and efficiency is unique within the managed hosting vertical.
