Embrace Home Loans Celebrates 32 Years of Giving with Orange Week
Newport, RI (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- Embrace Home Loans celebrated its 32nd year in business with its annual five days of giving known internally to this dedicated team of mortgage professionals as “Orange Week.” While a tradition of giving back to the community dates back to the company’s earliest days, the yearly practice has undergone some changes as the mortgage lender has grown nationwide.
As Embrace’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dana Fortin describes it, “What had begun as the annual company picnic, traditionally held in September or October, evolved in 2000 into an annual community outreach as a way to deliver on the company’s mission of operating Embrace as a family that cares and is generous toward our neighbor.”
Fortin continues, “The success, the pride, and satisfaction our employees take in the program continues to grow. In 2009, with a nod to our new Embrace brand we changed our charitable effort, calling the event Orange Day. It quickly became clear with our rapid expansion nationally that we could no longer accomplish our goals in a single day. So starting in 2011, Orange Day became Orange Week.”
Each year’s outreach efforts prove more and more ambitious, with teams of orange-shirted Embrace employees helping schools, community centers, non-profits and other institutions and individuals in need. This year, Orange Week is dedicated to, and in honor of, Embrace’s founder Dennis Hardiman, whose philanthropic commitment is central to his vision for Embrace’s role in the community. As Fortin says, “We just want to say Happy 32nd Anniversary Dennis…this is our gift to you.”
