Higher Ed Support, LLC Launches with a Personalized Career Planning and Job Placement Service for Colleges with No Cost to the Student

Finally, traditional colleges can offer students a career planning and placement service, regardless of their major and with no additional cost to the student. Beginning in their first term and continuing through each year of enrollment, students are advised and counseled on course selection, projected employment trends in their field of study, hiring trends in their market, salary expectations and are provided assistance with setting up interviews by a personal career planner.

Founded by a former college president, an academic dean and a vice president of enrollment and student support, Higher Ed Support, LLC is a revolutionary concept in outsourced student services. Believing career guidance and counseling have long been neglected in traditional colleges and universities, the company is launching a customized, cost-effective career planning and job placement service for colleges of all sizes, with no out-of-pocket cost to the student.

New college students (traditional, adult and online) receive an in-depth interview focusing on their chosen major, desired location of employment, first year salary expectations and projected employment trends in their field. As the student progresses through their degree program, a personal career planner is with them every step of the way, providing quarterly counseling sessions and helping the student build a portfolio of related experience. Prior to graduation, the career planner is actively searching for future openings and contacting human resource departments in the area to arrange interviews.

No student is ever charged for this service. Fees to Higher Ed Support, LLC are paid by the institution as the student progresses through their degree program. For most institutions, the per-student fee constitutes less than 1% of the annual cost of attendance.

"We believe every student deserves to be prepared to find a job in their field and we also believe colleges and universities should be given the help they need to make this a reality. Our mission is to help colleges survive and thrive in an incredibly competitive market without surrendering their identity and to help students realize their dream of finding a job in their field after graduation," says Jim Dunn, President and COO of Higher Ed Support, LLC.
