Matt Cox, Senior Systems Engineer at Kidwell, was recently named a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in Server 2012.

Server 2012, sometimes called the "Cloud OS," is the most advanced and secure Microsoft Server Operating System to date. That Cox earned distinction as a Certified Systems Engineer in Server 2012 is a testament to his technological prowess and experience, says Todd Long, Vice President of Marketing & Innovation.

"Having this certification validates that Matt has the skills needed in order to manage a highly efficient and modern data center," Long says. "Those who pass Microsoft's rigorous exam have expert identity and systems management skills as well as networking, storage and virtualization capabilities."

Cox first joined Kidwell in 2012 as a Systems Engineer. Soon after, he was promoted to a Team Lead position, and then became Senior Systems Engineer in the fall of 2014. To prepare for Microsoft's rigorous Server 2012 exam, he had to take a number of courses -- either at a certified training location or via Microsoft's self-study website.

In addition to showing his personal dedication to his profession, Cox's distinction also reflects Kidwell's commitment to providing the newest, most advanced technology solutions to its clients, Long says.

"We know it is difficult for most business owners and managers to keep up with technology, which is why we continue to invest in new technologies and professional training for all our engineers," he explains. "By working with a company like Kidwell, that employs dozens of highly-certified IT engineers, an organization can request help across different IT platforms on an as-need basis."

Doug Sirek, Director of Technology at Kidwell, says everyone on the Kidwell team is proud of Cox's recent achievement.

"This certification solidifies Matt's extensive knowledge and experience working with the Windows Server platform, as well as many of Microsoft’s applications and solutions," Sirek says. "We're very proud of Matt's achievement -- he's worked very hard for this honor and we feel fortunate to have him on our great team."
