Dr. Salber is the founder and host of The Doctor Weighs In (http://www.thedoctorweighsin.com), which provides leading news in health, healthcare, and innovation. She is a board certified internist and emergency physician who loves to write about almost everything in healthcare, but particularly digital health innovations. She is CEO of Health Tech Hatch (http://www.healthtechhatch.com), a company that helps young health tech companies tell their story to the world via video and radio interviews and blog posts. She is a frequent guest on television news shows, with appearances including Fox Business News, Newsmax, Al Jazeera America, ABC, and Anderson Cooper 360.

Michael Wong (Founder and Executive Director, PPAHS) said that the addition of media advisors to PPAHS will assist the organization in helping to broadcast patient safety messages. “It is one thing to discuss a patient safety issue, such as the risk of respiratory compromise, or to develop a clinical aid, like the PCA Safety Checklist or the OB VTE Safety Recommendations,” said Mr. Wong. “Perhaps the harder task is to create awareness about the need for change and ensuring that change is adopted.
