WellEz presents Data Driven approach to WellBore Diagrams at SPE Study Group
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- Members of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Gulf Coast Section (GCS) Petro-Tech Study Group invited WellEz Director of Operations, James Morley to speak at the group’s luncheon on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Houston, TX. The group, mainly consisting of petroleum technologists, regularly meets to exchange knowledge, experience, and gain education on the latest oil and gas technology. Tuesday’s event highlighted wellbore diagrams and the data-driven approach taken by WellEz field data reporting.
The presentation included the benefits of a drawing a proper wellbore diagram and the challenges that operators face when doing so.
“I have spent days working on a diagram in excel, but with people opening it in different versions of Excel it ends up looking awful,” a Petro-Tech Study Group member said. “Not to mention my diagram became quickly outdated without continued attention.”
