H+S Aviation Receives GCAA CAR 145 Approval for New Abu Dhabi Facility
ABU DHABI, UAE (PRWEB) May 18, 2015 -- H+S Aviation, a BBA Aviation company, announced today that its H+S Aviation Middle East facility in Abu Dhabi received General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) CAR 145 approval for PW200 and PT6C-67C engines in the United Arab Emirates. This authorization is a major milestone for the company’s newest facility and enables H+S Aviation to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair and overhaul services to rotorcraft customers in the region.
“With this approval, we are now ready to deliver our exceptional levels of service and support to all PW200 and PT6C-67C customers in the UAE, including those enrolled in Pratt & Whitney Canada’s ESP® Program for the PT6C-67C,” declared Mark Taylor, Managing Director H+S Aviation.
The facility is part of a global service and support network that is focused on being close to the customer. The Abu Dhabi location was chosen because of the region’s rapid growth and the importance of helicopters to the area’s industry and governments.
“Our goal for this facility is to be the provider of choice for Pratt & Whitney Canada engines in the Middle East. This authorization opens the door for us to pursue additional approvals so that we are able to expand our rotorcraft capabilities for customers throughout the EMEA region,” continued Taylor. He also explained that the company’s hard work was already paying off. “Our teams have done an outstanding job preparing for customers in the region and we have already received our first two PW200 engines.”
As far as additional approvals, Taylor is planning further announcements throughout the year. He said the process for European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval is underway and that the teams at the Abu Dhabi facility will continue to expand and develop to meet the needs of the rotorcraft customers throughout the total EMEA region.
