Broadway Veterans Bring the Best of the Great White Way to Los Angeles

With this show, and the possibility of being able to change casts, themes, and material, we feel like it can serve as a great outlet for Los Angeles musical theater performers and audiences.

On June 12, musical theater revue show 'Broadway at the W' opens at The Loft at W Hollywood, formerly Drai’s Hollywood. Broadway actors, dancers and producers from Tony-Award winning and fan-favorite shows including “South Pacific,” “The Producers,” “The Book of Mormon,” “Motown the Musical” and “Les Misérables” have assembled the highest caliber of Los Angeles-based Broadway performers to offer Angelenos an intimate and heart-stopping taste of Broadway. Tickets start at $10. The show features a live band, rotating program and special celebrity guests. The producers intend to continue the show on a weekly basis at W Hollywood.

“I moved to Los Angeles years ago after starting my career on the Broadway stage,” said Hawks, who produces and stars in 'Broadway at the W'. “So many of my Broadway colleagues have moved to LA, but they miss singing. I miss singing. This show was created as both an artistic outlet, and also our way of reaching all the musical theater lovers in LA who want to see the best of the best.”

“We know NY is the hub for musical theatre but we want there to be more LA venues for lovers of Broadway,” said Tiffany Evariste, producer of 'Broadway at the W.' “With this show and the possibility of being able to change casts, themes, and material, we feel like it can serve as a great outlet for Los Angeles musical theater performers and audiences. And we love the upscale, sophisticated and intimate environment at The Loft at W Hollywood.”

'Broadway at the W' is produced by Victor Hawks (Tony Award winning “Urinetown”, Tony Award winning “South Pacific,” “Les Misérables"), and Malcolm Goodwin (CW’s “iZombie,” A&E’s “Breakout Kings”) for Vision Vehicle Productions; Tiffany Evariste (formerly Tiffany Janene Howard, “Motown the Musical,” Tony Award winning “Memphis”), and Tony Award nominated Producer Mike Evariste (“Book of Mormon,” Tony Award winning “South Pacific,” Tony award winning “Hair”); and Mekia Cox (JJ Abrams “Undercovers,” “90210,” Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”), Melissa Emrico (“Cats,” “Chicago at the Hollywood Bowl”), and Detra Hicks (“Once Familiar”) for Little Man Productions. Emrico serves as choreographer, and Adam Bravo joins as Music Director.

'Broadway at the W' stars Daniel J Watts (“In the Heights,” “Memphis”), Noah Weisberg (Tony Award winning “South Pacific,” “Legally Blonde”), Alex Ellis (“On A Clear Day You Can See Forever,” “Catch Me If You Can”), Adrianna Rose Lyons (“Rock of Ages”), Kelsey Griswold (“American Crime Story”), Amir Talai (“We Will Rock You,” “Kung Fu Panda”), Matthew Kacergis (“Spring Awakening,” “Parade”), Brandon Rogers (“American Idol”), Rudy Cardenas (“American Idol”), along with the aforementioned Hawks and Cox. Special Broadway guests Mary Faber (“American Idiot,” “Avenue Q” and HBO’s “The Brink”) and Krystal Joy Brown (“Motown the Musical,” “Big Fish,” and “Leap of Faith”) will also perform on June 12.
