Vivantech, Inc. helps LeTourneau University manage complete research and grants administration with cloud-based Ekualiti KC solution
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- Vivantech, a leader in consulting and development of enterprise grade, open-source software for higher education has announced that LeTourneau University has selected the cloud-based Ekualiti KC electronic research administration (eRA) solution to manage its research and grant administration.
LeTourneau University is a private, interdenominational Christian university located in Longview, Texas. After evaluating other options, LeTourneau University chose Ekualiti KC to automate workflow and streamline pre-award, award and compliance processes with the long term goal to interface with their financial system to simplify the reconciliation of their extramural accounts and provide more intelligent business analytics.
“We looked at four or five other solutions, but chose Ekualiti KC because we were looking for an affordable, web-based and efficient open source software based product to simplify research and administration of our grants,” said Paul Boggs, Director of LeTourneau University’s Office of Sponsored Programs. “Being web-based software, it provides easy access from anywhere and plenty of secure storage space. We expect it to be more efficient as it saves resources, especially time, and should enable us to get more work done with fewer people.”
Vivantech created Ekualiti KC in response to the need for an affordable, comprehensive eRA SaaS solution that is quick to deploy, highly-scalable, and easy to use and navigate. Ekualiti KC is based on Kuali software and built on the Amazon AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform. Ekualiti KC can be deployed via the AWS cloud, or in a private cloud option through Red Hat's OpenShift™ technology.
Ekualiti KC is designed to save institutions time by reducing administrative burden. The comprehensive SaaS solution is an integrated system for proposals, awards and compliance.
“We’re thrilled to partner with LeTourneau University and help them reach their short and long-term goals for more efficient, streamlined research administration,” said Randy Ozden, CEO, Vivantech. “Their valuable feedback will help in the continuous innovation of Ekualiti KC.”
The Ekualiti innovations include a modern user interface, enhanced documentation, a plug-in framework for institution-specific customizations, data import/export tools, a mobile app companion, a dashboarding, analytics and reporting engine to name a few.
With continued budget constraints contending with improved performance, Ekualiti is the administrative system solution to contain ERP costs.
