15 AS2 Secure Messaging Products are Drummond Certified™ in Spring 2015 Interop Test Event
Austin, TX (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- Drummond Group announced today that 15 software applications from 11 international companies have been Drummond Certified™ in the AS2-1Q15 automated interoperability test event. Working together to drive global interoperability efforts and maximizing the use of the AS2 technical standard, Axway, Cleo, Dell Boomi, E2open, EXTOL International Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, IBM, JSCAPE LLC, MuleSoft, Inc., /n software and OpenText-GXS successfully completed hundreds of tests held across different time zones in a vendor-neutral setting.
AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) is one of the most widely recognized messaging standards for B2B e-commerce with thousands of implementations around the globe. It enables users to connect, deliver and reply to all forms of data (including EDI and XML) securely and reliably, thereby delivering cost savings and providing flexibility and control on how the data is utilized.
As a group, all of the software products in the AS2-1Q15 test event attained interoperability certification to the required test set and participated in optional profile certification. The certified product list specifies the products certified with optional profiles.
“The importance of adopting technical standards continues to be highlighted with this recent test event,” said Rik Drummond, CEO, Drummond Group. “Furthermore, the group as a whole had an opportunity to address the recently discovered vulnerability in SSL V3 (e.g. Poodle). As participants made changes to allow disabling or removing SSL V3 from their products, it became critical to ensure all products participating in this AS2 Interop remained interoperable. By testing and certifying their respective products in a neutral setting, these companies have created more secure products for their partners and customers. As critical transport changes occur now and in the future, the importance of AS2 Interop testing clearly plays a vital role in the continued success of interoperable AS2 software.”
Drummond Group's testing automation tool, InSitu®, also was utilized during this AS2 interoperability test round. The InSitu® technology allows the tester to automate the execution and evaluation of the test cases used for interoperability testing, including sending and receiving AS2 messaging. This provides testers with more time to focus on solving any interoperability issues.
