Ohio Fast Food & Supply Distributor Expands North; Plans to Create 100 New Jobs by 2017
Dayton, Ohio (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- I Supply Company, one of the largest companies in Dayton, Ohio, has committed to an out-of-state northern expansion into Kalamazoo, Michigan. The company, a leading distributor of food and supplies to more than 800 fast food and casual dining chains, has secured a 100,000-square-foot distribution building in Southwest Michigan. John Kuiper of Colliers International | West Michigan represented the landlord and Steve Peters of Miller Valentine represented the tenant in the transaction.
“There was a distinct draw for I Supply Co. to make the move into Michigan,” said Joe Parisi, president of I Supply Co. “Location was a key factor. The proximity of our new facility to both US-131 and I-94 was appealing when considering the future prospect of further expansion and/or establishing in new markets.” I Supply Co. hopes this newly acquired facility will open doors into the Chicago and Indiana markets.
I Supply Co., whose major clients include Rally’s, Popeyes and Arby’s, delivers paper and cleaning supplies to Dayton-area restaurants, grocery stores and office buildings in addition to food and supplies. The distributor provides partners with a full line of approved food, paper, chemicals and supplies to national and regional account partners. I Supply Co. earned $275 million in revenue in 2014, equating to approximately 7.5 million cases of product.
“Another draw to this facility was the already established access to all of I Supply Co.’s necessities,” explained Kuiper of Colliers International | West Michigan. “It came fully equipped with refrigerator, freezer and dry goods storage space – amenities rarely found within the marketplace.”
The nearly 100,000-square-foot facility is an existing industrial space that will provide the square footage necessary for the company’s expansion including 50,000 square feet of refrigerator space, 25,000 square feet of freezer space and an additional 25,000 square feet dedicated to storage for dry goods.
In addition to the perks of finding an existing space that delivered top priority amenities, the opening of I Supply Co.’s facility is expected to bring 100 new jobs to the Kalamazoo area by 2017.
