LACVB & WKBT News 8 Announce 2nd Annual Best of La Crosse County

Nomination Survey Open: Monday, June 1 - Monday, June 22.

In association with WKBT News 8, the La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the second annual Best of La Crosse County. For the second straight year, visitors and residents of La Crosse County, Wisconsin, have the opportunity to vote for their favorite venues to eat, drink, shop, and more. The nomination process begins Monday, June 1, at http://www.explorelacrosse.com/bestof.

The LACVB works year round to discover and promote all of La Crosse County’s unique personalities, establishments, and traditions, but nobody knows a place better than its people: the residents and visitors who make up the early morning breakfasters, bargain-hunting antiquers, and returning vacationers who support this community and all of its incredible businesses. No one is better qualified to choose the best among all that La Crosse County has to offer, so that is exactly whom the LACVB and WKBT News 8 are asking.

Community members, visitors, and businesses in Bangor, Barre, Burns, Campbell, Farmington, Greenfield, Hamilton, Holland, Holmen, La Crosse, Medary, Onalaska, Rockland, Shelby, Washington, West Salem, and every other nook and cranny of La Crosse County are invited to nominate and vote for the 2nd Annual Best of La Crosse County. Survey participants nominating at least ten entities and voting in at least 50 of the 180+ categories will be entered in a drawing for a 2-day vacation (or staycation) in La Crosse, WI, including gift certificates for local restaurants, bars, and shopping centers.

Last year, the food and drink categories were runaway favorites among voters, so this year’s contest will again feature some three dozen categories distinguishing the best drinking and dining to be found in the area. The survey will also highlight shopping, entertainment, kid and family-friendly businesses and activities, the arts, and much, much more--over 180 categories in all.

In an effort to make the annual Best of La Crosse County a true resource for residents and visitors, this year’s survey will also include dozens of new community-focused categories, allowing voters to identify their favorite healthcare providers, contractors, mechanics, schools, and more. By nominating and voting for their favorite businesses, voters not only pay tribute to the contributions these organizations make to the community, but they also provide a service to friends and neighbors, by helping them make informed choices when the need arises. If the Best of La Crosse County appears to be missing useful information, speak up! Voters will have the chance to suggest any additional categories they feel were left out in the write-in section at the end of the survey.

The Best of La Crosse County nomination survey will be open Monday, June 1 through Monday, June 22. Once the nominations process is complete, voting opens for the final round. Starting Wednesday, July 1, voters can choose from the list of nominees to crown the Best of La Crosse County in each category. Voting closes Friday, July 31, at 5pm. The LACVB and WKBT News 8, will announce the winners on August 12, when the complete list of the Best of La Crosse County goes live at http://www.explorelacrosse.com/bestof.
