New England Brewfest Announces Craft Brewery, Weekend Schedule, & Entertainment Lineup for 2015 Ultimate Craft Beer Weekend
Lincoln, New Hampshire (PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- The New England Brewfest, slated for the last weekend in June at Loon Mountain Resort is shaping up to be the “Ultimate Craft Beer Weekend." New this year, organizers announced that Life is Good Playmakers, is the official charity partner for the event, the event moves from its original location on Main Street in Lincoln, NH to the popular venue at Loon Mountain Resort. With a weekend full of events, over 30 craft breweries, event vendors, and entertainment all lining up in a big way, the New England Brewfest is a “can’t miss” for beer aficionados.
The stage is set for the weekend, starting on Friday with an all-new White Mountains Brewery Bus Tour featuring three popular craft breweries around the high peaks. The tour gets underway in North Woodstock, NH at the famous Woodstock Inn, Station, and Brewery aboard the fun “Moose Tour” bus from Pemi Valley Moose Tours, the adventure will go on to Schilling Beer Co. and further on to Tuckerman Brewing Co. before it returns for the evening festivities.
Another new event added to the lineup of the Ultimate Craft Beer Weekend is the Café Lafayette Beer Train, featuring a 2-hour train ride along the Pemigewassett River and a selection of locally sourced dishes all paired with a craft beer. Ticket includes train ride and all food and beer pairings. Station-side reception at 5pm, train boarding at 6pm, returning at 8:30pm.
Coinciding with the beer train, is the extremely popular Woodstock Inn Grand Tasting Farm to Table Beer Dinner, an evening of delicious fare and hand-crafted beers at the White Mountains premier brewery and restaurant. Evening includes a grand tasting featuring 10 different breweries and farm to table dinner. Ticket includes all food and beer pairings. Cocktail hour 6pm, Grand Tasting & Dinner Seating at 7pm.
BREW U, the educational -but still fun- side of the New England Brewfest schedule is also set, with a keynote address at on Saturday morning, June 27th by a super-top-secret industry figure. The first session of the day, “Brew in a Bag Workshop” will demonstrate the easiest, budget-friendly way for non-brewers and extract-brewers to begin all-grain brewing. The second session, a guaranteed favorite called “Tasting Like a Pro” will teach you about the Beer Judge Certification Program and how to taste beer like a master. The third session is a panel discussion on “Breaking the Glass Bottle – Women in the Craft Beer Industry” moderated by craft beer expert writer and on-air personality, Carla Jean Lauter. This session will bring attention to the great work women are doing in this burgeoning industry.
The signature event of the weekend is Saturday Night: ON TAP at the New England Brewfest. Craft breweries are registering daily, with some favorites from the past 10 years of the event, like Sebago Brewing Co., Henniker Brewing Co., Great Rhythm Brewing, Switchback Brewing Co., Peak Organic Brewing Co., Smuttynose Brewing Co., Throwback Brewery, The Traveler Beer Co., Schilling Beer Co., Victory Brewing Co., Red Hook, Harpoon Brewery, Magic Hat Brewing Co., Kona Brewing Co., Tuckerman Brewing Co., Lazy River Hard Cider, Elm City Brewing Co., Moat Mountain, Woodstock Station, Narragansett, and more added daily. The New England Brewfest is also proud to announce the Entertainment for the Saturday Night: ON TAP event, kicking off with Ashley Dawn, whose original music is laced with impeccable harmonies and heartfelt vocal melodies over feel-good piano foundations that is able to connect with a wide range of fans. Taking the stage next is Pat and the Hats, an original modern rock band from Central NH – culminating in a humbling amount of praise for the band’s first full length album, “Fake it ‘til You Make a Hit.” Lastly, headlining the event is the Chris Fitz Band, already part of the conversation with current rock/blues artists Kenny Wayne Shepard, Johnnie Lang, Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, Chris Duarte and Tommy Castro among other contemporary guitar slingers. The Chris Fitz Band, with Chris as band leader/singer/songwriter/guitar player, Jeffrey Majeau on Bass, and Steve Wolpe on drums/backup vocals has become one of the premier rock-n-blues acts in all of New England.
And, if all of that isn’t enough, the New England Brewfest weekend culminates on Sunday morning with a screening of Brew Hampshire” at 10am at Jean’s Playhouse. “Brew Hampshire” is a feature length documentary about the craft beer culture in New Hampshire, and sets out to discover how New Hampshire’s “Live Free or Die” attitude attracts brewers with an entrepreneurial and artistic spirit. Includes Q&A with filmmakers.
Lastly, the beer-related vendors are also lining up. Favorites like Guy & Lady Barrel, Winni Brew Crew, Granite State Growler Tours, The One More Club, The BEERkery Co., Gunthers Goodies, Thirty One, Knot Boards Woodworking, Structured Chaos Humidors, and more are added every day.
