HR Certification Institute Announces New Cost-Effective Options for Future Certificants to Register and Prepare for PHR® and SPHR® Certification Exams

The goal is to both simplify and provide cost savings for those seeking to take the rigorous exams and purchase application preparation products in one easy step. Also, for the first time, HRCI is offering “second-chance” insurance allowing applicants who don’t pass the exam the first time to be able to take the exam again at a reduced flat rate.

Specifically, HRCI has created the opportunity for applicants to “build your own bundle” when registering for the exams that combines exam preparation products with both the exam application and registration fees. In addition to simplifying the registration process by having the ability to purchase all products together, applicants will also enjoy significant cost savings.

“With these bundles, we are responding to the needs of the marketplace and what our certificants have been asking for,” said HRCI CEO Amy Dufrane, Ed.D., SPHR, CAE. “Specifically, we have put all the options for the exams and preparation courses in one place, we are helping our applicants save time and money, and most importantly we are ensuring they are well prepared to take the exams.”

For the launch, HRCI has partnered with two certification preparation providers, BenchPrep™ and Distinctive HR, which provide cutting-edge and alternative learning methods to meet applicants where they are and offer help via a variety of learning styles so applicants can select the certification preparation program that best suits their needs. In addition, registrants can purchase online assessments which allow candidates to practice taking the exam with retired exam questions.
