The Annual Daddy & Daughter Dance is a fun and exciting way to engage fathers in the lives of their daughter and family. While the event highlights the beautiful bond of a father and daughter, it is truly a family event geared towards creating a special moment for the entire family. This year’s event features a family talent showcase where attendees can show off family skills! Dancing, singing, comedy, poetry, and acting –quite a few stars will shine in Brooklyn this Father’s Day at the 3rd Annual Daddy & Daughter dance.
“We are excited to be back again this year in Brooklyn to host this incredible family event. Our previous events were such a success, we know this one will be also,", states Daddy For A Day Founder and President, Chantell Harris, “The looks in the eyes of the attending daughters as they danced with their Dads is priceless. We are happy to be a part of a bonding experience.”
The presence of a responsible father promotes physical health and safety among children. Research shows that father presence can foster healthy physical, emotional, and social development as well as reduce the likelihood that a child suffers substance abuse. When fathers are involved in the lives of their children, children learn more, perform better in school, and exhibit healthier behavior. Even when fathers do not share a home with their children, their active involvement can have a lasting and positive impact. * Source: The Father Factor: How Father Absence Affects Our Youth.
