Grange Insurance Association Announces Winners of 2015 Scholarship
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- On April 8, 2015, Grange Insurance Association (GIA) announced this year’s GIA Academic and Vocational Scholarship Fund recipients. Grange Insurance Association awarded deserving policyholders' students with a total of $33,500 in scholarship funds this year, along with $2,000 from private donors.
28 total winners were determined from a pool of 50 applicants. The highest honors are recognized by the award of The GIA Memorial Scholarship Fund receiving $2,500. Additional designated scholarship funds range in award from $1,000 to $2,500.
The scholarship committee judges and scores each application based upon the following criteria:
• Academic record and performance
• Contributions and leadership in community and school programs; family, future goals and activities
• A personal essay written by the applicant
Grange Insurance Association’s scholarship fund dates back to 1965. The northwest insurance association continues to award scholarships as an investment in their communities’ futures. Grange Insurance Association congratulates this year’s winners on their academic success and wish them the best as they move on to their college or vocational program of choice.
