Camden, New Jersey (PRWEB) May 26, 2015
Catapult Learning has announced the Fall 2015 opening of Catapult Academy in Hernando County, Florida. As a Hernando County School District-selected provider for dropout recovery, Catapult Academy’s student center will provide services to the county’s high school dropouts, with the goal of improving graduation rates within the district.
Owned and operated by Catapult Learning, LLC, Catapult Academy serves students ages 16-21 who have struggled to complete their high school education and need an alternative solution to graduate. Catapult Academy, located in student-friendly community-based settings in six counties throughout Florida and Georgia, provides a combination of small-group, teacher-led instruction, online learning, flexible scheduling, college admission guidance, and career coaching. Upon graduation from the tuition-free program, students receive a high school diploma from their home school district.
Catapult Academy’s program incorporates best practices and implements proven instructional intervention strategies perfected by Catapult Learning. Most importantly, caring teachers and guidance counselors support students to achieve every day and to earn the credits they need to graduate as soon as possible.
“Our goal is the success of every student,” said Eurmon Hervey Jr., Ed.D., Catapult Academy’s National Superintendent of Schools. “Catapult Academy puts a major focus on motivation, support, and guidance to ensure students stay on track and graduate with a pathway to success.”
Over the past three years, Catapult Learning’s Dropout Recovery Programs have graduated 947 students who have earned over $550,000 in college scholarships. Working as a partner with the Hernando County Public School District, Catapult Academy will handle all aspects of the new program, from managing local student recruitment efforts to providing the academic and social support.
