Foundation Seeking Pain Warriors to Show Debilitating Headaches Do Not Discriminate
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- Sufferers around the world afflicted with any type of debilitating headache are invited by The Will Erwin Headache Research Foundation to submit a video for consideration to be featured in their Face Of video. “The objective of the video is to show the world that debilitating headaches exist and do not discriminate against those they afflict,” stated Jimmy Erwin, President and Founder. “We want to show the many faces behind the disease.”
After years of suffering from cluster headaches, Jimmy and Pam Erwin lost their son, Will, in 2010 at the age of 24. With debilitating headaches affecting 12% of the American population and only .03% of funding allocated to headache and migraine research, the Erwin’s quickly stepped into action to help other headache sufferers that they have passionately termed “pain warriors,” creating The Foundation in the memory of their son. The Foundation has partnered with both the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and the University of Texas Health Science Center to support essential research dedicated to finding a cure for debilitating headaches. “There are millions of pain warriors across the globe currently fighting the battle to find relief from the extreme pain they suffer,” said Pam Erwin. “There are also millions of people around the world that have no idea this battle is even happening. Seeing the faces of those whose lives are affected will create much needed awareness.”
