FEI to Present at NFL Security Seminar and Business Recovery Planners of Southeastern WI Events
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (PRWEB) May 21, 2015 -- FEI Behavioral Health, a social enterprise with a 35-year history and a leader in workforce resilience from crisis management to EAP, will present sessions at two upcoming events – the National Football League (NFL) 2015 Security Seminar and the Business Recovery Planners Association of Southeastern Wisconsin (BRPASW) June membership meeting.
The NFL 2015 Security Seminar runs June 3-5 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. FEI’s Senior Director of Crisis Management Services Vivian Marinelli will present an informative workshop, “Social Media in Game Day Crisis Communications,” on June 5, 8:45 a.m. EST. The presentation will provide detailed instructions for developing a communications strategy that focuses on the use of social media. Using an emergency scenario involving a stadium, Marinelli will walk step-by-step through the first hour of a crisis, outlining the critical communication pieces that are needed.
The BRPASW June membership meeting will be held June 9 at Aliotos Restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marinelli also will present an engaging presentation, “Responding: The Psychological Impact on Crisis Response Teams,” at 11 a.m. CST. The session will outline what organizations can do to support their crisis response team personnel so they can better prepare, respond, and recover from a crisis. The session will review dynamics of self‐care and resiliency training that focuses beyond psychological debriefings. Participants will walk away with simple exercises they can implement to provide support for their response teams.
“We routinely share crisis best practices throughout the industries, and we’ve seen a trend toward high caliber organizations focusing more heavily on crisis communications and social media in particular. It’s great to be able to fill that emerging need," said Marinelli.
Marinelli has provided support to individuals and families impacted by mass casualty disasters including aviation accidents, terrorist attacks and natural disasters since 1999. She works directly with the customers’ emergency response teams to review existing emergency response and family assistance plans. She assists in developing and revising these plans to ensure operational feasibility and provides ongoing consultation and training on emergency planning and family assistance issues. She brings over 20 years of work in direct clinical services specializing in trauma and grief counseling to her work. She holds a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Psychologist in Wisconsin.
