Family fun 5K features inflatable obstacles courses as fundraiser for non-profit serving North Dakota families with critically ill or seriously injured children in the hospital

Spare Key,, announced today that Bell State Bank and Trust is the presenting sponsor of the 1st Annual Spare Key “Bounce and not Break Fargo 5K.”

The 5K is a fun, family friendly inflatable obstacle course that is both a fundraising event for the organization, but also a way to raise awareness about their program mission.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 13th at Scheels Arena in Fargo.

Since 1997 Spare Key has served over 2,800 families with a critically ill or seriously injured child in the hospital with nearly $2.8 million in housing grants on their behalf. The organization serves families who reside in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

“We’re thrilled to have Bell State Bank and Trust support this event this year,” said Erich Mische, Spare Key Executive Director. “As we continue our growth in North Dakota it is important for us to develop activities that will engage the community, help us spread the word about our program and of course, raise the funds we need to help more families than ever “Bounce and not Break.”

Bell State Bank and Trust, and its mortgage division, Bell Mortgage, have been significant supporters of Spare Key and its program for nearly a decade. In 2013 Bell Mortgage was the recipient of Spare Key’s Derian Keech Parade of Kindness Award for supporting the organization with what has grown to be more than $250,000 in financial support.
