Woodworkers and do-it-yourselfers who need to finish multiple workpieces quickly will find the job a lot easier with Rockler Woodworking and Hardware's new Mini Finishing Points.

Made from durable plastic with structural ribs for strength, they elevate workpieces so the bottom can dry while finish is applied elsewhere — allowing all sides of a project to be coated without stopping. Their narrow, rounded tips minimize contact with the workpiece, so they won't mar the finish or damage the wood.

Value and versatility are what make Mini Finishing Points unique, said Dan Wenning, Rockler's director of product development.

"They come in packs of 12 — enough to work on three cabinet doors at once — and they're compact enough to fit in a tool pouch or apron pocket for easy access whenever and wherever they're needed," Wenning said. "The affordable price makes it economical to stock up for bigger jobs."

Mini Finishing Points come with brad nails and can be secured easily wherever support is needed, whether on a shop-built fixture, a bench or a sawhorse. Once tacked down, they can be rotated to fine-tune their position, and they pry loose with a claw hammer when the job is done. Because of their shape, they can be nested close together to support narrow stock or small pieces. They also frictionfit in any T-track that accepts 5/16" T-bolts, making them an easy way to quickly create a custom finishing station.

They're packaged in a convenient plastic canister that is intended to be kept and used for storage.

Mini Finishing Points (58020) are priced at $7.99 for a pack of 12 and can be purchased at Rockler.com or Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores nationwide, as well as through the Rockler catalog. For store locations or a free catalog, visit http://www.rockler.com or call 1-877-ROCKLER.
