ONE World Sports, America’s Network for Global Sports, announced today that it has extended its multi-year agreement with Sky Sports for exclusive U.S. rights to England National Cricket team programming including pre- and post-match shows, in-match feature content and a daily highlights show surrounding its live coverage of the England National Cricket Team.

ONE World Sports will present over 500 hours of live and wrap-around cricket programming this summer, starting Thursday, May 21.

“This exclusive alliance with Sky will deliver to U.S. audiences what they have not been able to enjoy previously with televised or live-streamed cricket,” said Joel Feld, executive vice president, programming and production, of ONE World Sports. “Access to exclusive programming affirms our commitment to deliver popular, well-produced global sports events to our fans.”

This summer, England faces the finalists of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, first competing against New Zealand starting May 21, and then vs. the World Cup champion, Australia, in the renowned test match series “The Ashes.”

Sky Sports is known for its cricket match coverage, typically involving more than 15 mobile units, 30 cameras and an on-site production crew of more than 80 producers and technicians. The Sky Sports cricket on air team boasts six former England captains, several Wisden cricketers of the year and World Cup winners. In 2014 Sky Sports’ cricket coverage earned a BAFTA Award for Best Sport and Live Event programming.

In April 2014, ONE World Sports announced it had secured multi-platform U.S. and Canada rights to carry every home match of the England National Cricket team, the team representing England and Wales in international cricket. The agreement, with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and acquired through digital sports media company PERFORM, added more than 500 hours of Sky-produced live match content to the network’s linear and digital services.
