Annese & Associates, Inc., Launches Dedicated Cloud Solutions Business Practice
Clifton Park, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 29, 2015 -- Charles Darwin said, “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” When it comes to ensuring business longevity, this philosophy couldn’t be more true. Annese & Associates, Inc., an integrated communications systems provider, today announces its launch of a dedicated, cloud-based solutions practice to complement its three core competencies of infrastructure, collaboration, and data center virtualization. This new business model seeks to help clients embrace best practices around cloud computing and provide an easy path to entry through a phased migration (hybrid private/public cloud) approach.
For a company that has built its reputation since 1970 as a hardware reseller and most recently, a managed services provider, the shift to the cloud is a key milestone in Annese’s evolution. Global IT research firm, Gartner, claims that 80% of the IT spend in North America will be in the cloud by 2016. Annese will continue to fulfill client requests for on-premise solutions in addition to cloud, though the prediction is that the mix will trend toward more cloud solution sales as time goes on.
President & CEO, Ray Apy, explains, “We have found that many of our customers have dipped a toe in the water and are piloting some workload in the cloud, but do not have a true business plan or strategy around it. Annese’s approach begins with an assessment to help clients determine and prioritize what applications should move to the cloud, and then we help them build a migration roadmap that gets them to the cloud at the right pace for them. From an internal business perspective, Annese plans to build a base of recurring revenue through multi-year contracts and to be well equipped to offer our customers cutting-edge cloud solutions that are most relevant to them. I remain confident that Annese has the right culture, financial foundation, and business strategy to continue to grow carefully, conservatively, and profitably.”
To support growth efforts, Annese is currently recruiting for new positions that will focus on the cloud business strategy. The company has also teamed with VMware vCloud Air, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and CloudCheckr to extend the best possible control, security, and compliance features that the market has to offer, to its customers.
With all the hype, complexity, and confusion associated with cloud computing today, Annese has amplified consulting efforts to help existing and prospective clients first understand what the cloud is and the specific benefits it can deliver to an organization—i.e., rapid scalability and predictable IT operating costs—benefits that appeal particularly to small and medium sized businesses who tend to have smaller IT budgets and less technical resources on-staff.
Such consultative efforts include:
- Developing a Cloud 101 Starter Kit available on Annese’s website
- Publishing an educational white paper titled A CIOs Strategic Blueprint to the Cloud
- A recurring weekly technology segment on Saratoga station Look TV
Annese cloud offerings range from hosted to fully outsourced delivery models for wireless, video, voice, disaster recovery, virtualization, data backup, and networking as a service solutions. See Annese’s full list of cloud offerings here.
