Vasont Systems, a top component content management system (CCMS) software provider, certified that their Vasont Universal Integrator (VUI) extension supports the latest release of XMetaL® Author Enterprise XML Editor. The VUI extension integrates the functionality of the Vasont® CCMS with XMetaL 10.0 so users are able to write and edit XML content while still accessing digital assets and workflow tasks from the Vasont CCMS.

XMetaL 10.0 works with the Vasont CCMS’ VUI extension allowing writers to create and edit XML content efficiently in XMetaL, and then store the content in the Vasont CCMS. From the XMetaL interface, writers can take advantage of the Vasont CCMS’ exceptional content reuse capabilities, audit trails, and processing for translation and publishing. The VUI integrates these leading tools to provide a smooth editorial solution for organizations to manage their critical business assets.

JustSystems, the makers of XMetaL products, announced the availability of version 10.0 of XMetaL Author XML Editor that contains an extensive set of new features supporting XML standards and technologies. XMetaL 10.0 includes a bi-directional support in new languages, automatic DITA reuse factoring, text casing assistant, schematron support, as well as support for DITA Open Toolkit 2.0, and DITA 1.3 support preview. XMetaL 10.0 allows even non-technical writers to create reusable content while minimizing development and maintenance cost.
