Northeast Florida’s largest convention hotel, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, undergoes major multi-million dollar renovation
Jacksonville, Fla. (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- Northeast Florida’s largest convention hotel, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, is now undergoing a major, multi-million dollar guest room renovation. Located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville along the banks of the St. Johns River, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is making renovations to all guest rooms and corridors. Additional renovation upgrades include the hotel’s roof top fitness center and Regency Club lounge. The redone Regency Club lounge will offer improved networking areas, work stations overlooking the city skyline and a meeting room available for small meetings and gatherings.
“As the largest convention hotel between Atlanta and Orlando, we put an emphasis on creating a personalized guest experience, whether here for business, conventions or leisure travel. Our flexible meeting spaces including expansive outside river decks, diverse dining options and experiential meeting upgrades set us apart,” said Gino Caliendo, general manager, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. “The newly renovated guestrooms will be a game changer for the hotel and for Jacksonville as a meetings destination. The new look will offer a calm, casual elegance that will encourage guests to think and relax in a space that morphs from office to oasis,” said Caliendo.
The inspiration for the overall look of the redesigned guestroom rooms lies adjacent to the hotel – the natural beauty of the majestic St. Johns River. Soft hues and natural tones in shades of blue, green, gray and taupe will create a tranquil ambiance conducive to rest and relaxation. The furnishings, composed of hard woods, metals and natural stone, will be accented with throw pillows and fabrics interesting to the eye and rich to the touch. Custom lighting geared toward serving the needs of the business traveler will complement an even more effective workspace. Photographs inspired by the region’s coastal lifestyle will complement the design aesthetic.
In addition to the renovation of the hotel’s Regency Club, guest rooms and corridors, the project will include a re-haul of the hotel’s extensive roof top fitness center. New state- of-the-art fitness equipment will be strategically positioned to take full advantage of the breathtaking river vistas.
For meetings and social events, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront will add six hard-walled meeting rooms, located on the fourth level of the hotel’s Terrace Building. The hotel currently offers 110,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
While refreshing the look and feel of its guestrooms, Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is reinvigorating its approach to attracting and hosting large groups and meetings. In response to increasing demand for healthy and experiential meetings, the hotel is adding a host of offerings geared toward mind and body wellness while reinforcing the benefits of the Northeast Florida destination. Upgraded culinary options, fun runs along the St. Johns River and instructor-led yoga classes on the river decks are now offered.
“We are looking forward to continuing to host large groups along with business and leisure travelers throughout this process, and to showcase the recharged and ready to inspire guest rooms,” said Caliendo.
