Mirr Ranch Group Sale Named Historic Deal of the Year By The Land Report
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) May 21, 2015 -- The sale of Caribou Ranch, a landmark Colorado ranch that has hosted and recorded over 150 legendary musicians, including Elton John, The Beach Boys, John Lennon, U2, and Michael Jackson, to name a few, has been named the 2014 Historic Deal of the Year in the Spring 2015 issue of The Land Report. Mirr Ranch Group broker, Jeff Hubbard, represented the buyer.
"It is an honor to have been involved in the sale of the iconic Caribou Ranch. With its extraordinary natural beauty and colorful history, Caribou Ranch will continue under exemplary ownership committed to perpetuating a strong legacy of land stewardship for this Rocky Mountain treasure," said Hubbard.
The 1,600-deeded acre ranch sits in its own private valley right outside Nederland, Colorado. A recording studio in the 1970s and 1980s, the property is now a peaceful refuge with mature aspen and pine trees, expansive mountain views, an abundance of wildlife, live water in three year-round creeks, and well-maintained improvements.
“This landmark holding epitomizes the best of Colorado – its ability to inspire, to bring people together, and to create memories. We at The Land Report feel fortunate to be able to share its story,” explained Eric O’Keefe, Editor of The Land Report, the magazine of the American landowner.
According to the magazine, the original ranch in Colorado was 4,000 acres. The City of Boulder and Boulder County purchased 2,600 acres for a park and open space with conservation easements in place. The new owners of this famous property intend to leave the ranch undeveloped.
“Mirr Ranch Group has a strong track record of assisting our clients in buying and selling ranch properties with conservation values, and Caribou Ranch was no exception. My congratulations to Jeff and all others involved for making the deal happen,” remarked Mirr Ranch Group owner, Ken Mirr.
