Greenberg Traurig's Roger Dickinson, Former California State Assemblymember, Receives Capital River Award
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PRWEB) May 21, 2015 -- Former California State Assemblymember Roger Dickinson was recognized by Friends of the River (FOR) at its annual Capital River Awards for his work on the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act while in office. Dickinson is now a shareholder at the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
The Capital River Awards, which took place May 11 at the Capitol Plaza Ballrooms in Sacramento, raise awareness for protection of California’s rivers. More than 100 attendees were on hand at the reception.
Governor Jerry Brown’s signing of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, made up of Dickinson’s Assembly Bill 1739 and Senator Fran Pavley’s Senate Bill 1168 and SB 1319, addresses California groundwater supply. Senator Pavley, Assemblymember Das Williams, and Katherine K. Evatt were honored alongside Dickinson.
