Soon to be Featured on Good Morning America, The2Tails Collaborate with “World of Swimming” to Provide Students with Swim Lessons
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 22, 2015 -- The2Tails is shooting a segment for GOOD MORNING AMERICA at the end of May about their recent collaboration—working with a company called World of Swimming in New York, providing kids and adults in Brooklyn Heights with the tails needed to teach students how to swim like mermaids. The 5-day class will take place at Saint Francis College aquatic center.
The swim classes combine swimming, gymnastics and fitness, focusing on: dolphin kicks, controlling body movement and breathing, backward and forward somersaults, mermaid surfacing, swimming underwater with music and much more! Aside from inspiring others, The2Tails have an inspiration of their own—the environmentally conscious Ian Somerhalder, founder of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, created to educate and collaborate with others to help the environment. In order to show their support for the environment, The2Tails crew often attends Heal The Bay events and hopes to inspire their fans to do the same.
Registration for classes (which includes a tail, a matching top, a backpack, photos, and Real Mermaid certification") costs $290. Those who bring their own mermaid tail only pay $195.

About The2Tails
In 2nd grade, Sofia and Natasha Garreton and their friend Marlena Lerner had one mission -- how to become a mermaid. After extensive online research, the girls found the perfect mermaid tail in Germany. As their popularity quickly grew, their fans would ask them where they got their tails from. A new idea sparked their young entrepreneurial spirit, why not make their own and sell them! The next step? Learn how to sew. The girls began taking sewing classes and
learned how to make their own tails from swimsuit material.
A new business was born, The2Tails, founded by Sofia and Natasha and their mother Ely, in the spirit of their YouTube channel known similarly as "The3Tails" which includes their friend Marlena. The2Tails specializes in creating custom-made swimmable tails. Not only are the tails playful, they encourage the girls, and whoever wears them, to have fun in the water and to not be afraid to follow their dreams. If someone wants to be a mermaid, he/she can be a mermaid! The2Tails want people to feel confident in their creative expression.
